Paralympics Goalball & Wheelchair Basketball
Dynamic and energetic design for the Paralympic Games
Boomranng were invited to work with Kreatives as part on an ensemble of artists commissioned to create animated explainer videos for the Paralympic Games. Marking the first year all 22 sports will be broadcast, the aim was to illustrate to the audience how each event is played through dynamic and engaging design.
Each artist was chosen for their signature styles when designing characters and ability to apply their individual styles to the brand guidelines. Boomranng had the task of translating all the energy and excitement of wheelchair basketball and the newly broadcast goalball. Boomranng brought their energetic style to the brief, with a love for depicting powerful and inclusive people on the move their illustration style perfectly complimented the empowering values of the Paralympics.
'It was an absolute honor to be part of a team of 11 illustrators from all around the world for such an exciting and meaningful project. We love working on projects that are inclusive and diverse and we were especially excited because we got to learn so much about these sports, which rarely get the spotlight. We put a lot of love and care into creating these diverse characters with technical accuracy while maintaining our style within the given color palette.'
