Berlin Playground

A mixed-media dedication to the city

Berlin Playground is a mini film project inspired by Kaho’s experiences living in Berlin.

Berlin has pockets of what Kaho describes as “dystopian playgrounds”, which structured spaces for people to hang out & socialise. Noticing that they are rough and edgy, yet very playful and inviting, Kaho wondered how long these dystopian playgrounds will survive as she saw the city continuing to change.

Most of the sets are made out of discarded items found on the streets of Berlin and Kaho designed everything from the storyboarding, animatic, concept, set building, animation, compositing and sound.
