A celebration of Mbappé as a cultural icon.

Illustrating the partnership between footballer Kylian Mbappé and luxury brand group LVMH, Thomas crafted elevated visuals to celebrate Kylian’s development of his personal brand as a cultural influence, beyond the football field. Luxurious colours and rich textures create an atmospheric and visually striking series that combine the imagery of heritage luxury fashion with the dynamism of athletics.

Brief

Aiming to illustrate how Mbappé’s influence extends into wider culture, even refined luxury, Thomas depicted, with playful exaggeration, the two sides of his identity. Juxtaposing the tailored look of loafers and a suit with the freedom and energy of the football pitch.

Design

Thomas enjoys playing with the balance of full and empty scenes, creating tension and harmony between the flashes of colour and striking use of intense black. His tactile use of texture brings a rich depth to the illustrations, pulling the viewer in with a sense of mystery.
