






Commissioned by St Michel after seeing one of Ben&Julia’s music videos, the duo were tasked with distilling their vibrant and energetic style into a comedic brand campaign.
Crafting a series of films that were required to stand out from traditional advertising and St Michel’s competitors in the baked goods world, Ben&Julia brought to the films a sense of fun and vibrant visual tone. Emphasising colour and expression within the films, this campaign was an opportunity for Ben&Julia to expand their signature animation style into the commercial space, crafting a meeting point of art and advertising.
Unconventional and off-beat in their character design, Ben&Julia used their tactile approach to hand-build miniature worlds out of traditional crafting materials to bring to life their concepts. Creating expressive hand puppets for their character design, Ben&Julia were able to imbue the St Michel world with their signature sense of humour and appreciation for craft.
