Working with the creative team at Louis Vuitton, Alexis created original illustrations for the Avignon edition of their City Guide collection. Each guide is designed through the lens of the brand’s taste for luxury and affinity with travel, with the tone of voice of independent authors, supported by bespoke craft.
Brief
Aiming to be not just a literal representation of the city but to capture the spirit, Alexis set out to craft designs that moved away from architectural depictions. Also necessary to the brief was to integrate his illustrations into the high-end luxury world of Louis Vuitton and their established brand identity.
Alexis used a sun-drenched palette and minimalist forms to craft his illustrations that transport you to Avignon and draw on the specific light and mineral-inspired textures of the city. Using his signature air-brushed textures, Alexis’ designs transport and immerse.
